We announce the following vacancy in the Rochester Community Schools for the Summer Music Theater Production in2025.Applications will be accepteduntil FILLED.

SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAEDUCATOR SUMMER MUSIC THEATER

ADAMS HIGH SCHOOL

3200 W. Tienken Rd. Rochester MI 48306

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary credentials
    • Completed at least two years of higher education in an approved program (transcriptsrequired);OR
    • Received an Associates or higher degree (transcripts or original diplomarequired);OR
    • Passed state of local tests designed to demonstrate knowledge and ability in subject area as defined by NCLB requirements. Test resultsrequired(Example: ETSParaPro Assessment or MTTCProfessional Readiness Exam).
  • Desire to be part of a dynamic team of educators and support staff who build trust and relationships with students and caregivers
  • Regular reliable and punctual attendance required.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing instructional behavioral and functional programs and personal care services
  • Under the direction of the teacher follow and implement positive behavior support plans
  • Assist with students personal needs (e.g. specialized feeding toileting diapering etc.) as needed by students
  • Assist students with safe transitions from/to locations and environments within and around the school (e.g. bus cafeteria communitybased instruction etc.)
  • Encourages cooperative learning and active participation of the learner
  • Provide assistance with arrival and departure procedures
  • Provide support and assistance to students including support and assistance in the use of medical equipment

APPLICATION AND SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS:

Selection of an individual to fill these temporary positions will be determined by the Summer Learning Program administrators based upon applicant experience qualifications and professional attributes.

Qualified applicants are invited to apply online using School Spring: to the high volume of applicants for positions within Rochester Community Schools it is not possible to personally contact every interested candidate. After a detailed paper screening of all candidate credentials is completed only applicants who will be invited to interview will receive contact from the Program Supervisor.
