POSITION Union: Customer Relations Rep Bilingual
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 2
LOCATION: CT East Hartford Meadow St
HOURLY RATE: $41.64 $48.80
Responsibilities
* Answers inquiries (telephone or written) from customers regarding billing service and all inquiries pertinent to customer relations.
* Answers customer inquiries regarding credit and collection and makes arrangements according to specific guidelines.
* Makes routine changes or adjustments to customers accounts.
* Makes arrangements for actions or work to be performed by other division or departments in accordance with procedures.
* Transmit information or requests to proper division or department and prepares necessary work orders.
Communicate with customers via automated dialing system placing and receiving calls concerning delinquent accounts scheduling of service work and other customerrelated matters.
Performs miscellaneous and/or clerical duties as assigned by Supervision.
Fillin positions in various areas within the Department as required.

This is a dot safetysensitive position. any applicant transferring into this department from a nonsafety position will be required to pass a preemployment drug screen.
Skills and Requirements
1. Previous work experience in a customer service environment.
2. Must be fluent in Spanish and English reading writing and verbal communication skills.
3. Must possess effective listening skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions.
4. Must have compassion and understanding of customers problems and ability to use good judgment in dealing with theseproblems.
5. Must have accurate keyboard skills (minimum 30 wpm) to access customer account information.
6. Must have proven problem solving skills and good analytical skills to be able to review and analyze customer accounts.
7. Must have experience in using a computer terminal and/or a personal computer.
8. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities and procedures to meet the needs of customers.
9. Must possess simple arithmetic skills and ability to use calculator.
10. Must pass an administered Bilingual Test.
11. Candidates must successfully complete the Customer Service Representative test.
