QUALIFICATIONS Required:Art K12 or 712 License Subject Specific Endorsement or enrolled in Alternative Program leading to license for this position issued by the Department of Secondary and Elementary Degree satisfactorily complete Bureau of Criminal Investigation background check. Desired:Ability to provide instruction to students through explanation demonstration and/or supervised practice. Ability to supervise students and maintain order in various classroom and instructional activities and situations. Ability to operate general office equipment in the performance of daily activities. Ability to prepare lesson plans tests and instructional materials for classroom activities. Ability to identify student adjustment and/or academic problems provide counseling and/or recommend appropriate remedial action to parents. Ability to communicate effectively with students and their parents District staff and all other groups involved in the activities of the job. POSITION DESCRIPTION Teach subject matter i.e. art etc utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education correlated with other appropriate learning lesson plans adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs and utilize effective teaching techniques in translating lesson plans into productive student learning experiences which best utilize the time available for computers and other technological classroom support equipment in student the storage and use of district owned property; make minor adjustments and request repairs as classroom organization and and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning and maintain a safe and supervised environment in the classroom and on the school and utilize techniques which accurately measure student students academic and personal growth keeping appropriate records and prepare progress with parents through conferences and other means discussing academic and personal progress; interpret school and cooperate with other professional staff in academic and personal growth professional to District policies including attendance absences and must be adequate to acceptably perform listed job an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays bulletin boards and interest professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the district and through selfselected professional growth in faculty meetings and committees and the sponsorship of student group standardized tests in accordance with district testing and requisition books and instructional materials; maintain required inventory other job duties as Type:FullTime
