Salary: $68000 $72000

Job Functions:

According to the organizations mission and vision the Senior Director Childrens Programs provides dynamic and responsive leadership for educational and socialemotional programs for all schoolage children. This position supervises the CREATE Early Learning and OutofSchooltime program a therapeutic early learning and outofschooltime program primarily serving homeless children teens (infants 12th grade) and their families.


Essential Responsibilities:

CREATE Early Learning and OutofSchooltime Programs

  1. Supervise program service delivery to ensure quality care and compliance with all licensing and accreditation guidelines.
  2. Support the process of hiring supervision performance evaluations and training of staff in the CREATE programs.
  3. Ensure that the techniques used are evidencebased and suited to meet the needs of the children.
  4. Facilitate staff access to external continuing education opportunities as indicated.
  5. Build relationships with community partners such as colleges and Universities provider of comparable services neighborhood leaders and agencies that working together with us will enhance the effectiveness of Ministries services.
  6. Represent CREATE Early Learning in ECE Quality trainings association meetings and community events.

Youth Programs

  1. Supervise and support the Manager of Youth Program.
  2. Oversee planning budget compliance data collection and reporting for grants and funders.
  3. Hold staff accountable for all program planning data reporting grant reporting donor reporting and KPIs.
  4. Facilitate partnerships with grant organizations and donors such as Lamplighters and other community partners.

Education Transition

  1. Supervise and support the Education Transition Coordinator.
  2. Oversee support for transitioning families to determine and assist with school needs including but not limited to school enrollment assistance with transportation assistance with school uniforms and shoes assistance with Individual Education Plans or 504 plans etc.
  3. Understand county state and federal guidelines governing homeless and special education rights and advocate accordingly.
  4. Coordinate and communicate regularly with the HELP team coordinator for Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Project Promise and any other schools with their own local education agency (LEA).
  5. Provide support for the annual Back to School Bash.

Universal Expectations

  1. Ensure all notes and assessments are updated in a Metropolitan Ministriesapproved data tracking system and that Key Performance Indicators are tracked and monitored.
  2. Oversee appropriate implementation and modifications of policies and procedures as necessary.
  3. Monitor ongoing progress needs and support services for children. Ensures families are linked to services and natural support systems as needed.
  4. Support the process of hiring supervision performance evaluations and training of staff in the programs.
  5. Successfully supervise staff to ensure traumainformed interactions with all clients and that staff maintain professional boundaries.
  6. Conduct routine staff meetings to develop the early learning and outofschooltime team.
  7. Responsible for data tracking and outcome reporting in compliance with all other major grant allotments.
  8. Oversee all financial aspects of the programs including school readiness funding management.
  9. Coordinate with all Client Care staff to ensure service delivery best meets the needs of the children.
  10. Participate in childrens coordination and programs team meetings.
  11. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as stated on the KPI and in the annual plan. Attend required staff meetings and ongoing trainings. Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

Masters degree in education social work mental health counseling or related field. Graduate degree from an accredited university. Experience working in early learning and/or outofschooltime programming. Must be knowledgeable about homeless issues with experience working with individuals with trauma and/or be willing to seek continuing education related to the homeless population. Directors credentials preferred. Supervision experience preferred. Bilingual is a plus.

Must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team framework; strong interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communications skills; dependability; demonstrates maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual differences in clients served; ability to handle job related matters in a professional diplomatic and confidential manner; willing to work with minimal supervision yet be able to accept direction; well organized and detail oriented.


Physical Requirements:

Hearing and speaking ability which allows for effective oral communication; physical and emotional stamina to effectively handle job related issues and stress.


Other:

Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Prefer valid FL drivers license with a good driving record and insured vehicle in order to transport self and clients when necessary. Must pass applicable preemployment background screening procedures.
