Job Summary

  • The Desktop Support Specialist will serve as the initial and escalation point of contact for telephone and email inquiries for the companys software applications hardware printers video conference and remote technologies. The position will provide onsite and remote system and application support to users on a regular basis and occasional afterhours and emergency requests.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for telephone and email inquiries.
  • Provide onsite and remote support to users.
  • Support users with Microsoft Windows v10/11 Microsoft Office and O365 product suites.
  • Desktop/Laptop imaging builds rebuilds and deployments.
  • Updating and tracking IT assets including software licensing and hardware inventory.
  • Participates with research documentation planning implementation and ongoing support.
  • Basic troubleshooting with wired and wireless networking.
  • Document standard operating procedures as requested and identify and improve processes and procedures used by the team.
  • Follow up on calls that are escalated to other groups and departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect trade secrets as required by HIPAA clients and company policies.
  • Perform related work as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least three (3) years providing telephone and remote based technical support and/or deskside technical support working with Microsoft Windows internet and network technologies.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service and personnel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to interface with endusers effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful mature and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fastpaced environment.
  • Strong knowledge on the use of a computer telephone internet copier fax and scanner. As well has system imaging and deployment (desktop and laptop).
  • Solid knowledge of PC systems (desktop and laptop) as well as imaging and deployment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
