Job Description

Senspex in Rio Rancho New Mexico is seeking to hire a multifaceted and motivated Electrical Engineer for our Engineering Department!

The Electrical Engineer is critical to the success of our missions and responsible for providing design and electricalengineering support of thermal imaging and video cameras; including electromechanical switching mechanisms video processing and environmental sensing devices. This position performs detailed design documentation testing of electronic and mechanical components equipment and subsystems.

What youll get to do as a Electrical Engineer at Senspex:

  • Incorporate Senspex thermal imaging and electrooptical devices into custom systems
  • Implement and maintain products and services tailored to Senspexs and its customers needs by either modifying current products/services or assisting with the design of new products
  • Make recommendations to our Chief Technology Officer on innovative electrical engineering approaches and advantages with Senspexs scope of product and services
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware/software interface problems
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure integration of entire systems/subsystems
  • Expand your career development by attending conferences workshops or other training to maintain knowledge and develop new skill sets

The qualifications we require:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (electrical or optical) or other related technical field plus 4 years of directlyrelated experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Knowledge of circuit boards processors chips electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications and programming
  • Experience in any of the following: infrared and electro optical sensors image processing sensor fusion sensor design and analysis sensor testing and data analysis and integration on platforms

Other requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • Must be able to successfully pass a preemployment background and drug test
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • May require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in order to work on projects/programs.
