Position Summary
Reporting to the Technical Specialist Anatomic Pathology and Medical Director of Laboratory Services the Pathology Assistant (PA) is responsible for ensuring that the patients needs are met in a caring and professional manner and in accordance with the legislation regulation bylaws and policies and procedures governing the Hospital and the Laboratory and through interaction with the Medical Laboratory Technologists and other health care professionals. The PA under the supervision of the Technical Specialist and Pathologists shall accept responsibility and be accountable to the patient to him/herself and the employer to meet the ethical legal and quality expectations of practice performing all duties in keeping with the laboratory and the organizations mission vision and values.
