Job Description

Introduction

THE ROLE (Based in office 5 days a week)

Mulpha Australia is a diverse investment group with interests in residential real estate development commercial real estate real estate debt hotels leisure and hospitality assets together with private equity and a range of operational businesses. Our portfolio includes iconic assets such as InterContinental Sydney InterContinental Sanctuary Cove and Hayman Island The Sanctuary Cove integrated residential resort community Norwest Business Park to name a few.

Role responsibilities will include the following.

  • Managing the end to end month end accounting process for the Head Office entity. This includes the preparation of the monthly financial accounts and management reports monthly variance analysis and commentary ensuring all accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.
  • Working closely with the Shared Service team to ensure timely processing for accounts payable & receivables and cross entity recharge for the Head Office.
  • Managing the cost analysis and reporting for the Head Office departments including managing the crossentity expense recharge and intercompany transactions with all the subsidiaries.
  • Managing the operational cashflow and work closely with the Treasury team to optimise working capital for the Head Office entity (including accurate cashflow forecast)
  • Own the budget and forecast process (including cashflow forecast) for the Head Office function and drive the initiative for cost control with Heads of Department.
  • Business partnering with the Heads of Departments Tax and Divisional Finance team to ensure timely & accurate accounting and efficient reporting for the Head Office entity.
  • support the team to deliver the Group reporting compliance requirements and ad hoc projects (including system changes) as required

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • 5 years postqualified experience
  • Experience in financial & management reporting or audit experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong control and process improvement mindset
  • Quick to learn and adapt and ability to think outside the box to challenge processes and achieve better outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify & focus on key risks and issues
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership skills to train mentor and motivate individuals across the team
