Job Description

The Accountant & Finance group at ATCS is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join the team in our Herndon headquarters.

The Accounts Payable Analyst position is a critical role responsible for managing and processing company invoices maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and proficiency in financial software and tools. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a collaborative approach to support the companys financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review invoices ensuring accuracy in cost allocations and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain the vendor database including onboarding and updating vendor information.
  • Generate reports and analytics using Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to monitor expenses and identify process improvements.
  • Leverage Deltek Cost Point to manage accounts payable functions including invoice tracking and budget alignment.
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing activities by providing detailed financial reports and analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to ensure smooth communication regarding invoice approvals and payment schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies contributing to auditreadiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as pivot tables macros and complex formulas.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Handson experience with Deltek Cost Point software is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional ERP systems or accounting software.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Process improvement and automation experience to streamline accounts payable operations.

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position we offer a competitive salary range of $56000 to $81000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus with a target 2% of the employees annualized salary.
