Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Terms of Employment: 12 Months
Pay Grade: 114
Job Summary:
The purpose of this job is to provide skilled HVAC services to install modify maintain and repair mechanical systems in school facilities.
Essential Duties
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of advanced skilled trades experience required.
Master or Journeymans license preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire).
EPA approved refrigerant certification ability to interpret blueprints and equipment schematics electrical license and expereince perfered.
Must be able to work independently and with a team.
Physical Demands
Performs medium to heavy work that involves walking standing kneeling bending crawling and climbing ladders or scaffolding virtually all of the time. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures dirt fumes Unpleasant odors gasses electric currents moving mechanical parts and/or loud noises. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or considerable skill adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers hands or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy. Must be able to see color and discern colorcoded wiring.
