The North Carolina Community College System (System Office) is a statewide network of 58 public community colleges. The system enrolls over 500000 students annually. It is the 3rd largest in the nation based on the number of colleges. It also provides data to the North Carolina Learning Object Repository by collecting contributing and sharing digital learning resources for use in traditional or distance learning environments. The Federal Programs Unit provides leadership oversight training and policy development services to institutions in the community college system for programs funded primarily through the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act of 2018 (known as Perkins V) and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title II program.

  • Develop and execute annual monitoring plans to assess the program and financial performance of WIOA Title II and Perkins V funded recipients.
  • Conduct onsite and remote monitoring visits including reviewing program records analyzing data and interviewing staff.
  • Prepare detailed monitoring reports identify issues of noncompliance and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver technical assistance and training sessions to funded recipients on WIOA Title II and Perkins V regulations policies data collection and best practices.
  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate data to identify trends compliance issues and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to federal and state stakeholders ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Develop implement and monitor corrective action plans to address identified issues and mitigate risks to ensure timely resolution.

This is a fulltime position (40 hours per week) withState Benefits.

Masters degree in education school administration business administration or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of responsible administrative experience in an education environment at the local state or federal level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
