Waste management Shaping a Greener More Sustainable Future
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Waste Service Team at Wiltshire Council as a Waste Support Officer. We welcome parttime applications.
Our Waste Service oversees the crucial tasks of procuring and executing statutory waste management processes for Wiltshire Council. This includes managing waste disposal diverting waste from landfills and implementing various waste management contracts. The service also operates household recycling centres manages kerbside collection and recycling services and drives the councils waste prevention and minimisation efforts.
In the role of Waste Support Officer youll play a crucial part in ensuring our team delivers a streamlined and costeffective service. Your responsibilities will include providing essential technical and administrative support managing daily service requests and complaints through phone calls and emails and ensuring timely responses and resolutions. Youll also be responsible for accurately recording data and ensuring that contractors have all the necessary information through our ICT support system enabling operational staff to carry out their duties effectively each day.
We are seeking a candidate with welldeveloped ICT skills and with proven ability to work with information systems and databases including Microsoft Access and Excel. Excellent communication skills alongside the ability to handle complaints and concerns sypathetically and positively will be essential.
