Leading the way on Climate Change for NSW
The Energy Climate Change and Sustainability (ECCS) division within the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is currently seeking to appoint an Executive Director Climate Change and Strategy to join their senior executive leadership team.
The Executive Director Climate Change and Strategy leads the crosssector initiatives and strategic policy development to ensure government anticipates and addresses emerging issues in the transition to net zero energy transition strategy and building resilience to climate change. The role provides high level strategic advice to the Minister Secretary and Deputy Secretary to inform decision making planning and evaluation of interagency intergovernment and crosssectoral initiatives and strategic policies and builds relationships with other government agencies and industry partners.
About You
This role requires an experienced leader who can provide high level leadership and strategic direction to the climate change and strategy team in ECCS. You will be an experienced executive with strong collaboration communication and stakeholder engagement skills which can be applied across DCCEEW the NSW Government and other key external stakeholders in the climate change and energy transition space.
