Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Triage Nurse for Fulltime day!
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Triage Nurse to join our ambulatory primary care and specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing patient needs providing appropriate medical advice and ensuring efficient patient flow. The Triage Nurse plays a critical role in the delivery of patientcentered care by facilitating timely access to care and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care based on their needs. *This is a MondayFriday position working from 8am4:30pm with a weekend requirement*
As a Triage Nurse you will:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients symptoms and medical histories through phone or inperson consultations
- Utilize established triage protocols to determine the urgency of patients conditions
- Provide patients with medical advice health education and selfcare instructions based on their symptoms and medical history
- Schedule appointments and referrals for patients requiring further evaluation or treatment
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions assessments and care plans in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Monitor and manage patient flow within the clinic to minimize wait times and optimize efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) with an active and unrestricted license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferably in a triage emergency or ambulatory care setting
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
