$1500 Hiring Bonus!
We are looking for a caring and energeticChildcare Teacher to join our childcare team. This individual will contribute to a positive nurturing environment that is safe clean and organized for the children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. A Childcare Teacher will also encourage childrens overall development through appropriate playbased activities and by working collaboratively with families.
This position is available at our location in Johnston.
Benefits and Compensation
This role is fulltime and eligible for health benefits includingmedical/dental/vision insurance paid time off and a 403B retirement account. PTO is frontloaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately. Fulltime staff are eligible for education assistance after one year of employment and tuition discounts to various schools that is available upon hire.
The starting pay rate for this position is $14/hour.
Schedule
40 hours per week
MondayFriday
Work with the hours of operation of 7:00am5:30pm on MondayThursday and 7:00am5:00pm on Friday.
What Youll Do
- Provide routine care for infants and/or children including diaper changing/assistance with personal cares hygiene and hand washing servingmeals and snacks.
- Maintain childrens safety by providing constant supervision in compliance with staff/child ratio requirementsand utilizing name to face attendance log.
- Consistently assess and monitor childrens general health and report concerns tosupervisor and family as appropriate.
- Complete tasks to maintain a clean organized and safe environment indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain and support a structured environment and routine according to Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to families.
- Documentation Complete documentation accuratelyand according to established deadlines.
- Arrive on time and attend assigned training sessions staff meetings and annual staff development training.
What Youll Need
- Ability to pass a ChildServephysical examination at commencement of employment and thereafter as regulations require.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs be mobile within the classroom and playground areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Ability to become certified in First Aide CPR Mandatory Reporter Standard Precautions and DHS PreService Essential training within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
- Experience providing care and supervision for children preferred.
