QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent required; college credits with office skills training or equivalent business school training preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years administrative secretarial experience; school district experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel & Power Point) and Microsoft Outlook.
- Effective verbal written and listening communication skills detail oriented and ability to work with a widerange of complex issues and confidential matters.
- Ability to prioritize organize and multitask numerous administrative activities.
- Selfmotivated able to work under pressure and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$48395/CP8
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare correspondence forms manuals reports and presentations for the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Financial Services.
- Compile and maintain record of personnel absences vacations etc. for the department.
- Respond to routine inquiries from staff campuses departments etc. and refer to appropriate campus or department.
- Prepare documents for monthly school board agenda.
- Assist in reporting of district vehicle and bus accidents.
- Maintain physical and electronic departmental files and records according to required record retention guidelines.
- Process monthly purchase orders as needed.
- Process payroll redistributions as needed.
- Open and distribute mail.
- Provide backup support for department directors and paraprofessionals.
- Maintain calendar and coordinate department special events activities meetings and trainings.
- Facilitate supply orders and deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Financial Services.
