Boeing Aerospace OperationsThe C17 Program is hiring an L Level Senior Operations Leader for our Paint & De Paint Department. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L Level Senior Operations Leader to oversee our Paint & De Paint programs. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex programs involving multiple aircraft in flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong mentoring and coaching abilities a deep understanding of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) processes including Paint & De Paint process procedures and a commitment to continuous improvement through lean principles and earned value management. Position is located in San Antonio TX.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage heavy maintenance programs ensuring timely and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
Utilize creative and critical thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.
Mentor and coach leaders within the operations team fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve operational issues effectively.
Collaborate with crossfunctional support teams to ensure alignment and support for maintenance operations.
Apply earned value management principles to monitor project performance and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
Implement lean principles to optimize processes reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
Prepare and present reports on program status performance metrics and improvement initiatives to senior management.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
5 years of experience with production and Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) paint operations both commercial and DoD
3 years management experience
3 years of experience managing complex programs
3 years experience in Earned Value Management
3 years of experience implementing lean principles
Experience problem solving and supporting corrective action plans
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1 years of experience with C17
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across various functions.
Exceptional leadership mentoring and coaching abilities.
Proficient in relevant software and tools for project management and operations oversight.
Experience in operations leadership within aviation maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) industry to include Paint & De Paint process and maintenance.
Advanced knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance standards
Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Agile Six Sigma).
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tracking systems and software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make datadriven decisions.
Experience in budget management and financial analysis related to maintenance operations.
Ability to lead change management initiatives effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of safety management systems and practices in aviation maintenance.
