Job Description
Position: Extended School Year Student Worker
Wage/Hour Status: $15 per hour
Immediate Supervisor: Spec. Prgms Compliance Coordinator
Dates Employed: May 30 June 26
Position Summary:
- Assist with the care and facilitation of student instruction for the Special Programs Extended School Year services
Qualifications:
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Basic knowledge of appropriate classroom behavior and structure
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Experience:
- In order to be paid one must have volunteered for at least two years prior
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain all safety and code requirements of the State Local and Board of Education guidelines
- Be able to work with designated staff members and assignments
- Perform all other duties as assigned

- Posture:Frequent standing; kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
- Motion:Frequent walking and reaching
- Lifting:Medium lifting and carrying (20 pounds or less) on a daily basis
- Environment:Work inside and outside (exposure to sun heat cold and inclement weather); exposure to noise
- Mental Demands:Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
- Professional Dress: Dress must be clean neat in a manner appropriate for his or her assignment and in accordance with any additional standards established by his or her supervisor and approved by the Superintendent. During work hours visible body piercings (except earrings) will not be allowed.
