Job Description
Come work as an Innovation Lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. to enhance our Developer Experience Center of Excellence (DevEx CoE) a collaborative effort to drive the future of how we build software by removing barriers to productivity fostering collaboration and accelerating innovation .
What Will You Do
Lead evaluation piloting and scaling of new tools to improve engineering efficiency. Bridge solutions with internal teams for successful adoption and continuous improvement.
Tool Evaluation & Innovation Strategy
- Support and accelerate the expansion of a standardized SPDLC modernization roadmap.
- Develop and evaluate innovative tools that showcase groundbreaking improvements across the development lifecycle.
- Implement measurable metrics to track progress and the impact of developer experience initiatives.
Program Enablement & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external vendors to ensure external innovations address internal needs.
- Assist in crafting and implementing measurable proofofconcept (POC) experiments.
- Collaborate with compliance quality and IT to ensure new tooling aligns with regulatory and operational requirements.
Developer Experience Advocacy
- Support developers by collecting feedback and highlighting difficulties regarding tooling and workflows.
- Partner with community leads to support communications engagement and change management.
- Promote standard methodologies that minimize obstacles improve development efficiency and boost overall job happiness.
Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to defining and tracking critical metrics that demonstrate the value of AI tool adoption and process improvement efforts.
- Support the creation of feedback loops to enable iterative improvements based on data and direct input from end users.
How Will You Get Here
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience. Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
- 7 years in software development developer tools technical program management or related roles.
- Experience with emerging AI tools for code generation software testing or planning.
- Familiarity with SPDLC workflows Agile methodologies and enterprise software tooling ecosystems.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of AI capabilities and their application to software engineering.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into actionable use cases and development workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for crossfunctional collaboration.
- Knowledge of compliance security and governance principles in enterprise software.
Behavioral Proficiencies:
