Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead our AWS Training & Certification Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Senior Finance Manager you will work closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts turning insights into operational measurements and identifying paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process. You will also provide strategy support to the business partners.
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting strategic decisionmaking in a rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a selfstarter with strong leadership skills a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
Lead short and longterm financial planning
Build financial framework and models for new business ideas
Provide strategic partnership to key business initiatives and investment
Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
Tighten internal controls for program spending and revenue accrual
12 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
5 years of hiring leading and developing teams experience
8 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
8 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
8 years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
5 years of working with senior staff (e.g. csuite) experience
MBA or CPA
3 years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
10 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
8 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
8 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
8 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
7 years of hiring leading and developing teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
