The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will provide both tactical and strategic directions to the maintenance employees implement root cause analysis perform task completion audits complete afteraction investigation; and implement corrective actions as needed to maximize equipment uptime and speed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have oversight of a team of approximately 15 employees across multiple shifts.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead mentor and manage a team of maintenance technicians ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
- Develop and Maintain training programs for team members to enhance technical skills and improve performance.
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Maintenance Planning and :
- Develop implement and manage a preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for all equipment and facilities.
- Oversee corrective maintenance and ensure that downtime is minimized by addressing failures quickly and effectively.
- Identify and prioritize critical maintenance tasks to support production goals and minimize disruptions.
- Institutionalize the use of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to track maintenance activities within the plant for tracking work orders planned/predictive maintenance spare parts inventory/sharing and MRO management.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team in diagnosing and solving complex mechanical electrical and automation issues.
- Ensure that the equipment is properly maintained to avoid breakdowns and ensure the highest level of performance.
- Stay updated on the latest industry technologies trends and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing unnecessary expenditures.
- Source and manage suppliers and vendors for maintenancerelated products and services.
- Track and report maintenance costs identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring that proper safety protocols are followed during maintenance tasks.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives to prevent recurring equipment failures.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production and maintenance processes.
Requirements :
Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in engineering Mechanical Electrical or related field (preferred).
Proven experience 15 years) in a maintenance management role preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Maintenance Management (e.g. CMRP CRL) is a plus.
Experience in managing crossfunctional teams or projects.
Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
Physical Requirements
Ability to push pull lift move and/or carry up to 25lbs.
Ability to frequently reach overhead.
Ability to frequently stoop bend and kneel.
