Job Description: Lecturer Bricklaying
Job Type: Fulltime
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver highquality education in bricklaying techniques to students at various skill levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum designed to meet the educational needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through practical assessments projects and exams.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience and ensure skill development.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry standards trends and practices in bricklaying and construction.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to develop partnerships and enhance course offerings.
- Participate in faculty meetings professional development and college events as required.
- Support student recruitment and retention efforts through outreach and engagement activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven qualifications in bricklaying or a related field ideally a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying.
- Teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of education theory and practice particularly in vocational training settings.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the bricklaying industry showcasing a strong portfolio of skills.
- Prior teaching or training experience particularly in a further education context will be advantageous.
- Experience in curriculum development and classroom management is a plus.
