Job Description
Job Title: Learning Support Mentor Construction
Job Type: Fulltime (Term time only)
Salary: 20065 per annum
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic support to students enrolled in construction courses.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans.
- Facilitate a positive learning environment to improve student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students learning needs and interventions.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of their academic performance.
- Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities throughout their educational journey.
- Organize and participate in workshops tutorials and additional learning opportunities.
- Maintain effective communication with students parents and educational personnel.
- Provide guidance on career pathways and progression in the construction field.
- Contribute to the overall enhancement of the learning environment within the college.
Essential Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in construction or a related field.
- A background in education or mentoring roles preferably within a college or vocational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks for construction courses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students staff and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working as a support mentor or teacher in the construction field.
- Experience with students who have special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
- Proven track record of enhancing student outcomes and engagement.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and tools that support learning.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
