Job Description
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills be confident in cardiac monitoring and thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting. EPIC EMR experience is required.
This RN is responsible for providing safe patient-centered care using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation in accordance with hospital protocols and Telemetry unit standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Telemetry Unit

Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms vital signs and telemetry output

Collaborate with physicians and report changes in patient condition diagnostic results and clinical concerns

Administer medications and therapies as prescribed and per protocol

Respond quickly and accurately to emergent changes in patient condition

Educate patients and families regarding conditions medications and care plans

Document all assessments interventions and outcomes in EPIC EMR

Supervise and guide support staff within the scope of the role

Current and valid California RN license (Required)

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA Required)

EPIC EMR experience (Required)

Ventilator management experience (Preferred)

COVID vaccination and boosters (Preferred)

Strong telemetry interpretation and acute care assessment skills

Ability to work independently on night shift with strong critical thinking
