Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and forwardthinking Executive Producer to lead and be accountable for the production and delivery of high quality news bulletins. The role is critical to the ongoing success and high editorial standards of Nine News. The ideal candidate will bring strong people leadership skills a sharp editorial vision and proven record of bulletin management.
Day to day you will:
- Partner with senior leaders to inspire a highperforming news team.
- Drive editorial excellence across bulletins with a focus on the 6pm News.
- Oversee compelling news creation balancing diverse local national and global stories.
- Script subedit and approve content for broadcast.
- Lead breaking and major news rolling coverage production.
- Manage daily newsroom operations with strong ethical and journalistic standards.
- Ensure accurate and legally compliant content.
- Foster creative reporting and the adoption of new storytelling technologies.
- Champion multiplatform content integration across digital social and traditional media.
- Lead and mentor the news team cultivating a positive inclusive culture with growth opportunities.
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- Proven excellence in editorial judgment and news bulletin production.
- Strong understanding of journalistic ethics legal standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to deliver highquality content under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing diverse teams.
- Solid knowledge of the digital landscape and its growing impact on news.
- Proven ability to innovate and create dynamic news bulletins.
