The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety stability and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

Job Summary:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to retrieving information from Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) as needed coordination with case management on case specific issues evaluating current processes for effectiveness timeliness success with performance outcomes and providing technical assistance to agencies as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Champion assigned performance measures or tasks to improve permanency outcomes and performance.
  • Analyze FSFN data scorecard measures and reports to evaluate agency compliance with outcomes for children in order to target challenge areas requiring technical assistance and oversight.
  • Review and analyze cases identify barriers to permanency and recommend action necessary to bring permanency to children.
  • Observe and evaluate current case management permanency processes to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to the case management agencies and other key stakeholders with regard to permanency policy and procedure and system of care reengineering initiatives.
  • Support and provide specialized individual training to case management staff as needed to address identified system of care issues.
  • Assist the management team in developing and continuously reviewing/updating FSS procedures.
  • Provide guidance to all case management staff in determining and securing appropriate services as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate all requests to reopen cases or assist in same. Maintain a tracking log of such requests.

Other Duties:

  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Report any acts incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youthtoyouth stafftoyouth or placement familytoyouth relationships.
  • Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per policy and state guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in social work or related human services field required.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of two years dependency child welfare experience. Prefer dependency case management supervisory experience.

Licensure Certification and/or Registration:

Valid drivers license. Child Welfare certification required.

  • Child welfare statutes and Florida Administrative Codes

Skills:

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication
  • Strong organizational and time management
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word

Other Requirements:

  • Clear a Level II background screening.
  • Clear a reference check.
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside.
  • Clear a substance abuse screen.
  • Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment.
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the companys automobile policy.
  • Provide copy of automobile insurance.
  • Provide proof of and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100000/$300000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
