Job Summary:
The Patient ServiceRepresentative is primarily responsible for ensuring highquality customerservice and continuation of care. The Patient Service Representative isutilized in performing typical front office functions and referrals. The PatientService Representative is under the overall onsite supervision of theSupervisor.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material hot and coldblood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:

Position Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Six (6) months related job experience in a medical office or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Skills Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Experience working withcomputers and various software programs performing data entry and quicklylearning new computer systems as needed.
Ability to handle incoming calls take clear messages schedule appointmentsand understand common medical terminology.
Knowledge of insurance policies billing procedures and other front officeadministrative work.
Strong customer service skills and communication abilities.
Able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering excellentpatient care.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with computers and softwareperformingdata entryanswering the telephone and scheduling appointments
Ability to take telephone messages and have an understanding of medical terminology
Experience with Electronic Medical Records; EPIC highly desirable
Prior experience working with HIV/AIDS care a plus
