Position Summary
This position will participate in the development and application of various processes utilizing specialized equipment to efficiently accomplish such objectives as testing benchmarking production modification or repair of Astemo Intelligent Power Modules (IPM) and Inverter (INV) programs. The specific area of expertise will be for electrical / electronic function and testing (low and high voltage). Overall requirements of the position are to ensure that production equipment is properly validated and qualified operates to equipment specifications and produces assemblies based on the product standards and customer requirements for mass production.
Minimum Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills)
- Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems robotics electronics electrical test systems optical inspection and computer programming
- Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the United States
- 4year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education
- 3 years of related work experience with highvolume precision assembly processes
- Ability to make quick accurate data driven decisions and utilize excellent critical thinking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and people skills
- Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems
- Willing to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness
- Well organized meticulous and able to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills)
- 4year university degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5 years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Expert PLC programmer Robots (Fanuc Motoman Yamaha and Mitsubishi) Weber screwdriver Nordson Spray System Keyence Vision LabVIEW and Visual Basic programming
- Automotive industry work experience with emphasis in high power electronic or electronic devices
- Knowledge of EV components such as inverters power modules or control modules
- Knowledge of APQP FMEA Control Plans and similar quality practices
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and principles including IPC regulations
Position Duties and Responsibilities/ % Time Spent Performing Duties
- Develop and evaluate new IPM and INV product process and equipment: 40%
- Support development of technology resource and production requirements: 30%
- Support new business opportunity evaluation: 20%
- Support M/P equipment problems and develop solutions: 5%
- Other duties as assigned to support corporate objectives: 5%

- Design implement maintain or improve manufacturing testing instruments equipment facilities components products or systems for commercial industrial or domestic purposes.
- Confirm equipment meets required specifications and is safe to use
- Write maintain and analyze process programs within multiple digital environments
- Setup testing trials/experiments for customer/internal needs including countermeasure activity
- Confirm that all product requirements are satisfied by online testing including daily validations
- Develop reports graphics and presentations by compiling data from various sources
- Write technical specifications for equipment procurement
- Monitor progress comply with quality/schedule requirements and maintain logs and records
- Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment or major repairs
- Estimate labor material or construction costs for budget preparation purposes
- Research methodology and procedures to apply principles of testing and electrical theory to projects
- Provide excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with high accuracy
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Ensure all local state and federal laws and regulations are followed
- Analyze technology and assess potential applications
- Improve manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives
- Maintain knowledge of all processes procedures and equipment
- Coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines work independently and make effective decisions
- Must be flexible to adapt to changing requirements

- Typical software: PLC Fanuc IAI Robots Atlas Copco Keyence Vision Excel LabVIEW and VB
- Intermediate experience required in Windows MSWord PowerPoint and Excel CAD

- This position is for day shift; however the ability to work a flexible schedule is expected
