Job Description
ANTICIPATED OPENINGS 2025 SUMMER PROGRAM
2025 SPECIAL EDUCATION
EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) PROGRAM (ALL LEVELS)
Special Education Teachers at the Preschool Level (Teacher Certification Required)
Ashland Public Schools is seeking dynamic special education preschool teachers (3) with previous experience to support our special education summer program.
Dates/Times: 5 weeks: July 7 2025 through August 7 2025 (Building times will vary slightly: Mondays 4 hours with students Tuesday through Thursday 3.5 hours with students and equivalent preparation times per day; for every 3 hours worked an additional 1 hour of preparation time is given/paid for). Tutoring time will be scheduled MTh between 9:00 and 2:00 and determined in collaboration with the special education department and the students guardians.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating a warm inclusive classroom/tutoring environment
- Delivering small group and individual direct instruction per students individual IEPs
- Completing all special education related paperwork (summer note)
- Communicate with parents
- Plan daily lessons/activities
- Support students at recess who are attending the camp model
- Supporting daily living activities
- Assistance during arrival and dismissal of students
Anticipated Salary:
(Teaching positions will be given to those with certification)
$47.32 per hour for Special Education Teachers
