The Pennsylvania Treasury Department is an independent agency led by the elected State Treasurer and one of the largest state treasuries in the country serving as custodian of more than $150 billion. As an IT Generalist I on the Helpdesk team youll be a key player in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues providing exceptional customer service and staying updated with the latest technological advancements. Your ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and your commitment to continuous learning will be essential in driving our mission forward. Onsite and InPerson Support: Provide comprehensive onsite and inperson technical support for laptops desktop services printers fax machines Windows operating systems network connectivity VPN VDI Microsoft Office telephones peripheral devices and mobile devices. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service both in person and virtually to Treasury staff ensuring their technical needs are met promptly and efficiently. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Help Desk team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues fostering a teamoriented environment. Continuous Learning: Stay uptoupdate with evolving technologies and continuously enhance your technical skills to support the Treasurys IT infrastructure.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Friday with a 60minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications maintenance networking or desktop services or other information technology support/administration services and an associates degree in any information technology field; or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications maintenance networking or desktop services or other information technology support/administration services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience using Microsoft computer applications such as Word Excel and Outlook and demonstrated experience with troubleshooting techniques in Microsoft Windows environment.
- You must have experience prioritizing tasks managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines effectively and in assigned time frames.
- You must be familiar with the component parts of personal computers peripherals servers and their associated functionality.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in IT including IT support services involving hardware and software installation operation and maintenance.
- Prior Information Technology Helpdesk customer service experience.
- Possession of any Microsoft certification.
