Job Title: EDM Wire Operator
Location: Birmingham UK
Salary: Competitive (DOE) Overtime
Hours: Daytime 38 hours/week (flexible schedule)

About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced EDM Wire Operator to join our clients dynamic team. You will play a key role in their expanding operations focusing on precision machining using advanced EDM technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Program set up and operate EDM machinery including Wire Spark and EDM Drill types.
Produce hightolerance components (e.g. wire rotors tooling parts) from technical drawings.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints and ensure adherence to strict tolerances.
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize workflows and meet deadlines.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving production needs.

About You:
Essential: 3 years handson experience operating Agie/Charmilles EDM machinery.
Proficiency in programming and setting Wire EDM machines for complex geometries.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings (GD&T knowledge preferred).
Experience working with highperformance materials (e.g. hardened steels alloys).
Detailoriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
