The Founders Program helps all UNSW staff students and alumni to build the capability mindset and networks they need to create positive impact through entrepreneurship. This is achieved through delivering foundational entrepreneurship experiences educating founders with knowledge on how to design and execute successful business models and connecting entrepreneurs to the local and international innovation ecosystems.
The position of Community Manager builds on the reputation of UNSW as a leading university for entrepreneurship and has the potential to create a positive impact on thousands of students inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs solving world problems. The role requires passion and expertise in startup fundamentals and will support the inclusion of new mentors startups and community members and support their engagement and involvement within UNSW Founders.
Youll work collaboratively with other members of the UNSW Founders Program as well as with internal UNSW faculty staff and students across the university. This role will also be a startup ecosystem lead representing UNSW Founders at multiple industry events. The role reports to the Senior Manager Curiosity and has no direct reports.

Who you are
You have a relevant tertiary qualification and or experience in community management within the startup and innovation ecosystem and can demonstrate your success in designing and delivering skillbuilding programs managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
You have sound knowledge of entrepreneurship methodologies such as lean startup and have experience communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences managing large databases and coordinating startup events. Youre a proactive problemsolver who works well both independently and in collaborative settings always ready to take initiative to improve program delivery.
Youre committed to UNSWs mission and values understand the importance of relevant policies and guidelines and are aware of your responsibilities regarding physical and psychosocial health and safety with a commitment to ongoing training in this area.
