THE ROLE:

- Pay Range: $36 $39.50

WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The primary function of this position is to test and repair instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. The Lead Instrumentation Technician will monitor and control operating activities and perform maintenance and repairs as necessary.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- Assist in supervising a shift of 57 highly skilled mechanics/technicians performing technical maintenance and repairs on equipment as well as installations
- Assist in verifying spare parts inventories for plant equipment
- Assist in managing and reducing repair par costs
- Ensure scheduled work assignments are completed
- Responsible for opening/closing work orders for repairs
- Installs maintains repairs overhauls calibrates and tests a wide variety of industrial instrumentation that record indicate control and regulate level flow pressure temperature position and water analysis
- Troubleshoots telemetry and process controller hardware
- Maintains a functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system software and hardware
- Makes periodic preventative maintenance inspections of all metering control instruments diagnosing existing or potential trouble;
- Cleans lubricates calibrates and adjusts as conditions of all metering control instruments as indicated
- Lie out install and place into service new metering controlling and recording devices calibrating as required and extend or connect related electrical circuits when needed
- Coordinate the calibration of test apparatus and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in related field; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of database software Intranet and Internet software WMS Warehouse Management Systems
- Experience in Microsoft Office: Outlook Excel Word and Access
- Proven reliable work history
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with a diverse employee population and with internal/external customers in an effective professional manner
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and interpret common /technical journals financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects set priorities proactively resolve challenges in a fast paced high pressure environment
- Excellent conflict resolution skills diplomacy and tact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a fast paced high volume food production/manufacturing facility
- Prior working knowledge of OSHA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) FDA USDA and EPA regulations
- Knowledge of Red Prairie and JDE WMS software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:
- May be required to walk sit stand reach climb or balance stoop kneel or crouch.
- Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs.
- Occasional exposure to cold (34 degrees) or subzero temperatures
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
- 1st shift (8am 5pm) Monday through Friday when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
