What role you will play in our team

Instrumentation/Analyzer Maintenance Technician (based at Strathcona Refinery in Edmonton AB). Responsible for performing maintenance in a safe and efficient manner following established refinery procedures and trade practices. Live plant experience in both instrumentation and analyzer systems is considered an asset with a preference for candidates who have demonstrated proficiency in analyzer maintenance.

What you will do

Performs refinery maintenance work and construction work Included are activities such as:

  • Repairing or reconditioning equipment.
  • Preform preventative maintained tasks on instruments and analyzers.
  • Participating with others in the trade group in identifying and implementing improvements to streamline work practices and procedures.
  • Performs maintenance work in a flexible manner involving trade participation as an individual or in a group for which the individual has the ability.
  • Responsible for the quantity quality and continuous improvement of the maintenance work performed. Shares accountability for ensuring equipment is maintained to a high degree of predictable reliability
  • Accountable to ensure the implementation of maintenance activities meets established loss control and environmental standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety when working alone or with others.

About you

Skills and Qualification

  • Instrumentation Technologist Diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Must be a fully qualified Instrument journeyman possessing an Alberta or Interprovincial trade ticket

Skills and Experience/Qualifications

  • Ability to consistently follow safe work practices basic maintenance procedures and enthusiastically contribute to a safe work culture.
  • Has knowledge and ability to work with technology related instrumentation
  • Has an understanding of process control loops and process control systems including those that are computer based
