Job Description
Are you looking for a fun summer job where you can make a difference CoOp Summer Enrichment is an award winning summer camp for low income children that delivers STEM learning and camp fun.
What youll be doing
Youre joining a summer camp team where roles and tasks are collaborative and shared. As the Facilities Assistant youll be a key part of the team making sure campers have a safe and fun summer by supporting roles critical to the success of camp.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist office staff as needed to keep daily administrative tasks of CoOp functioning smoothly
- Communicate and collaborate with building custodial staff to:
- maintain clean and safe areas for program blocks and special events
- prerequest needed equipment supplies or furniture needed for program blocks and special events
- Maintain the lunchroom facility by:
- Helping counselors and campers to follow systems during lunch and snack times to maintain and fun orderly safe and clean environment
- Helping children learn how to be responsible about cleaning up after themselves
- Emptying garbage cans as needed to prevent overflow
- Performing light sweeping and picking up to assist children and custodial staff
- Assist with set up for camp events and special activity days
- Assist with setup for arrival and dismissal including setting group cones and signage and assisting groups in their lineup positions
What you bring

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old by the start of camp
- Must be able to comfortably move and transport objects and boxes up to 30lbs
- Availability to work the entire camp season and attend all required orientations and trainings
Besides that you might:
- Have a desire to make a difference in the lives of kids
- Are Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Want to know what Color Wars is and are already strategizing to win the annual trophy
All employees must:
- Posses a valid social security card and NYS state identification
- Pass a background check with fingerprint approval if you are not a Mamaroneck School District employee (we will provide instructions as part of the onboarding process)
- Provide two professional or personal (nonfamily) references

REQUIRED PROGRAM DATES & TIMES:
- Campseason:
- June 30 2025 to August 8 2025 (No camp July 4th)
- 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Regular camp days
- 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Regular camp days with weekly staff meeting
*all program start and end times/dates subject to change until program design is complete by June 1st
