Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Unmanned Systems Operations Analyst to provide advanced analytical and technical support for training events operational assessments and the development and deployment of unmanned systems. This role involves handson support of multirotor and fixedwing UAS platforms including acquisition modification and test operations as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support mission success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage acquisition modification and maintenance of COTS UAS platforms (Group 3 and Turbines).
- Plan coordinate and act as Safety Officer for flight operations during test and training events.
- Travel CONUS and OCONUS on short notice including to potential conflict areas.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support Red Team training events.
- Assist in the evaluation of developmental aircraft to inform R&D initiatives.
- Coordinate with national and international intelligence agencies for data sharing and trend analysis.
- Gather process and analyze operational and flight test data.
- Identify and recommend emerging technologies to improve operational capabilities.
- Develop and maintain system documentation SOPs training materials and technical presentations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to lessexperienced team members; may have supervisory responsibilities.
- Stay current on relevant technologies trends and unmanned systems best practices.
- Former U.S. Army or Marine Corps Infantry Artillery Cavalry Combat Engineer or Special Operations officer warrant officer or NCO with experience leading a team squad platoon or company
- 8 years of related experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience instructing groups of personnel of various ranks in a military environment.
- Handson experience with COTS multirotor and fixedwing aircraft including hobbyist UAS platforms.
- Demonstrated experience supporting predeployment training Field Training Exercises (FTX) Validation Exercises (VALEX) and technical exchange events.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Must be able to successfully complete CRC requirements and deploy to CENTCOM theater.
- Must be able to obtain an Amateur Radio Technician License.
- Experience with land air and sea Remote Piloted Vehicles (RPVs) including the ability to design and fabricate systems with minimal guidance or from kits.
- Ability to research emerging RPV technologies describe their advantages and assess their impact on DoD capabilities.
- Knowledge of the Military DecisionMaking Process (MDMP).
- Ability to translate technical RPV knowledge into instructional content and briefings that inform others of capabilities limitations and operational impacts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and intelligencerelated automation tools to support analysis and product development.
- Ability to define and execute operational scenarios for test or training events involving RPV technologies.
- Skilled in interpreting customer requirements to guide the appropriate development and application of RPV systems during technical exchange and test events.
- Ability to operate independently in remote or deployed locations while coordinating with diverse military and civilian teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Prior deployment experience supporting DoD or intelligence community missions.
- Prior experience coordinating with U.S. or allied intelligence agencies.
- Experience acting as a Safety Officer during unmanned systems flight operations.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition and testing processes for unmanned systems.
- Technical writing experience including SOPs training guides and briefing materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree is preferred.
