Job Description:
As a UPS Store Associate at our Portsmouth NH location you will be an essential part of our team providing exceptional customer service and support in a fastpaced retail environment. Your role will involve assisting customers with their shipping printing and packing needs ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shipping printing and packing needs.
Provide accurate information about UPS services products and pricing.
Resolve customer inquiries and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
2. Operational Support:
Process shipments including packing labeling and tracking packages using UPS systems.
Operate office equipment such as copiers printers and computers for customer transactions and printing services.
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure stock levels are adequate.
3. Sales and Promotion:
Promote UPS services and up sell additional products or services to customers.
Assist in implementing store promotions and marketing campaigns to drive sales and customer engagement.
4. Administrative Tasks:
Perform cash handling and POS transactions accurately.
Complete paperwork and maintain records related to shipments and transactions.
5. Store Maintenance:
Keep the store clean organized and wellmaintained to uphold UPS brand standards.
Monitor and report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail or customer service roles preferred.
Basic knowledge of shipping and postal services is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using computers and office equipment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move packages typically up to 50 lbs.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in a retail environment with regular interaction with customers and exposure to noise levels typical of a retail setting.
