JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST
LOCATION: CINCINNATI OH

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing manufacturing and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect from infrared countermeasure flares that protect pilots from incoming missiles and chemical response kits designed to help safeguard life in chemical warfare attacks to nutritious food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) related activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and to ensure that the facility complies with all EH&S regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources with a close partnership with the Director of Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement and lead the EH&S Program.
- Establish EH&S Annual Operating Plan Goals and KPIs.
- Administers EH&S training programs tracks/maintains records of all training logs.
- Provides and ensures training is completed for all employees visitors and contractors.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement corrective actions as warranted
- Responsible for accident prevention through safety audits implementing and managing safety committees/teams monitoring metrics and conducting safety toolbox talks
- Maintains EH&S related policies procedures documents and records.
- Maintains current knowledge of OSHA EPA & DOT regulations
- Assists with regulatory reports/submittals and permitting for facility.
- Key liaison for regulatory inspections.
- Develop crossfunctional partnerships to leverage internal resources.
- Manage EH&S and ESG scorecards
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in environmental health & safety or related field strongly preferred.
- Formal safety certification preferred
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience training EHS topics to a manufacturing workforce
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
- Very attention to detail oriented
- A positive attitude and a roll up your sleeves mentality to get the job done
- Excellent people skills ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS office

This position requires access to our exportcontrolled commodities technical data technology and services. These items are restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to U.S. Citizens Lawful Permanent Residents of the U.S. and properly licensed foreign persons. Therefore employment is contingent on compliance with ITAR regulations and successfully obtaining and maintaining the necessary export authorization license from the U.S. Department of Commerces Bureau of Industry and Security U.S. Department of States Office of Defense Trade Controls or other applicable government agency. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
