The school Vice Principal serves as one of the educational leaders responsible for managing the policies regulations and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school district. Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Vice Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling curriculum development extracurricular activities personnel management emergency procedures and facility operations. The vice principal must have strong commitments to his/her own professional development.
Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the districts communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. This position is considered a safety sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
Assist with managing evaluating and supervising effectively and procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy mission values and goals of the school including instructional programs extracurricular activities and discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate building maintenance program evaluation personnel management office operations and emergency procedures. Ensure compliance with all laws board policies and civil regulations.
Hold a valid Oregon Administrator License or have the ability to obtain one.
