A Brief Overview
The Strategic Operations Manager Ambulatory Care provides leadership and direction for goals initiatives and strategic projects in ambulatory care across the organization. This includes partnering with senior operational leaders to ensure alignment with objectives. Responsibilities involve central leadership across ambulatory governance structures management guidance teams and collaboration groups. Building collaborative relationships with system leaders affiliate management teams and project resources is essential. The Strategic Operations Manager Ambulatory Care manages departmentwide strategic operations and projects communicates project status to stakeholders and delegates tasks appropriately. They refine processes for performance improvement and act as a liaison between ambulatory operations and ambulatory executive leaders. Overall they drive organizational effectiveness improvement initiatives and strategic alignment at all levels.

What you will do

  • Lead the coordination and facilitation of ambulatory governance guidance team and collaborative meetings

  • Identify and participate in improvement opportunities that advance ambulatory care system goals and objectives

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with system leaders affiliate management teams physician leaders and project resources to insure strategic alignment and drive desired outcomes

  • Promote systemlevel thinking and approaches and identifies opportunities for collaboration across the network

  • Manage projects across ambulatory care including serving on or leading crossdepartment teams

  • May supervise project coordinators or project managers as needed.

  • Ensure timely and consistent communication to executive sponsors and stakeholders on project status

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and maintain accountability for completion

  • Ensure existing processes support high levels of performance while continuously reviewing and refining those processes to make additional improvements.

  • Partner on design and implementation of change management plans that support ambulatory initiatives


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a workrelated discipline/field from an accredited college or university


Experience Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

  • 1 year of leadership


Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience education or licensure/certification.

  • Six Sigma certification preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing persuading negotiating conflict resolution consulting and advising as well as flawless written communication.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation.

  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities and work effectively in a team or independent setting.

  • Ability to plan organize prioritize work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to provide leadership and influence others.

  • Ability to resolve conflicts and/or negotiate with others to achieve positive results; establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to plan organize motivate mentor direct and evaluate the work of others and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to utilize project management tools and to coach staff/team members on tools.

  • Ability to work effectively as a team player and leader.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $57.48 $76.14 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
