Job Description

Director of Patient Services DPS RN

Position Overview
A wellestablished LHCSA with a growing census is seeking a handson Director of Patient Services (DPS) to lead and build out its clinical operations. This leadership role involves hiring and training nurses and aides improving documentation standards and developing a highfunctioning fulltime clinical team. The DPS will also oversee field staff and coordinate closely with administrative leadership. The agency is seeking a disciplined and energetic individual with the people skills and initiative to take ownership of both clinical and operational outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • NYSlicensed Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership experience in home care (LHCSA preferred)

  • Strong management and interpersonal skills can build trust correct issues and drive performance

  • Proven ability to implement systems that improve documentation and compliance

  • Skilled in staff development including training aides and mentoring nurses

  • Comfortable overseeing field staff and coordinating with other departments

  • Russian language skills are a plus

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and support a clinical team including 2 fulltime nurses NHTD service coordinators and approximately 56 field nurses and aides

    • Transition the agency from a per diemheavy model to a stable fulltime nursing team

    • Train and onboard new clinical staff including aides and service coordinators

    • Review and improve documentation for compliance and quality assurance

    • Collaborate with intake scheduling and administrative staff

    • Help lead clinical meetings performance reviews and ongoing training

    • Assist in building a supportive and accountable team culture

    • Occasionally visit patients in the field for context and alignment

    What Success Looks Like (First 612 Months)

    • A reliable welltrained fulltime clinical team is in place

    • Field and inoffice staff are aligned with clear expectations and workflows

    • Documentation standards are elevated with consistent QA oversight

    • The agency has a clear structure in its clinical leadership and communication
