Job Purpose
The Community Relations Coordinator plays a role in advancing the hospitals mission by connecting the community to its work through intentional handson engagement. This position exists to establish grow and maintain relationships with groups within the community by coordinating and facilitating hospital tours managing inkind donations and representing the hospital at events within the community. The coordinator creates opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved through participation in hospital events sponsorship opportunities and meaningful service roles both onsite and within the community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Community Representation
Represent the hospital at community events. This role builds relationships shares the mission of the hospital by connecting community groups to onsite opportunities as well as out in the community and encourages the community to engage through service and sponsorship opportunities.*

InKind Donation Coordination
Manage all aspects of inkind donations including receiving items coordinating with internal teams and ensuring inkind donors are properly thanked by connecting generous community members and groups with meaningful ways to support the hospital.*

Hospital Tours and OnSite Visits
Schedule organize and lead hospital tours for individuals and community groups by making them feel welcome and leave the hospital with an understanding of our mission and services while using tours as a catalyst to get the community further engaged with the hospital through service opportunities.*

Event Support and Community Engagement Activities
Assist with planning staffing and sponsorship of events which bring the hospital and the community together through events either hosted onsite or out in the community and may include recruiting and coordinating volunteers or partner organizations.*

*Evening and Weekend Availability Occasional expectation to participate in events tours or opportunities outside of standard business hours to engage with the community either onsite or out in the community as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience:
Experience in public engagement volunteer coordination or nonprofitcommunityfacing roles
Social media experience required.
License/Certification/Credential:
