Job Description

General Responsibilities:Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Principal(s) and directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Saugus School Responsibilities:Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Principal(s) and directives of theSuperintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Saugus School of Duties:Deliver high quality and rigorous instruction aimed at accelerating English language learning exposing students to content vocabulary and preparing English Language Learners to move towards proficiency in the English English Language Learners in selfcontained ELL classes or in a coteaching modelAdminister appropriate testing such as WIDA Screener ACCESSAssist in screening and evaluating ELL students and recommend placement or exit from the program to the Building PrincipalCommunicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students progressEstablish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive classroom ELL paperwork and folders in compliance with DESE requirementsDevelop lesson plans for ELL tutorsAssist content teachers with effective inclusion of English Language LearnersParticipate in professional development activities consistent with the districts goals and needs of English Language Learners
