Position Summary
This position is responsible for collection of delinquent accounts as assigned. Responsible for the
disposition of repossessed vehicles. Tracking and posting of VSI and GAP claims. Demonstrates
teamwork through positive interaction and cooperation with fellow associates members of
management and other branches and departments. Supports and promotes the Credit Unions Vision
Mission and Core Values.
Primary Responsibilities
Collects accounts that are potentially delinquent delinquent or charged to the reserve
according to established policies procedures and collection laws.
Performs processes per established policies and procedures to dispose of vehicles that have
been voluntarily or involuntarily repossessed.
Files and monitors VSI and GAP claims
Partners with insurance companies on total loss vehicles.
Prepares loan modifications or extensions.
Adheres to all internal policies and procedures. Maintains compliance with Federal laws and
regulations set forth by all regulatory agencies.
Perform such duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and
operation of the Credit Union.
Monitors reporting on paid out loans and processes collateralized loan lien releases where
appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
Serves as a resource and assists in the collection of delinquent accounts that are assigned to
other associates.
Assists members with budgeting tools and financial management techniques.
Participates in Credit Union special projects and initiatives.
Educational/Experience Requirements
Requires education equivalent to a fouryear high school education plus some additional postsecondary technical course work.
Requires a minimum of one year of related experience.

While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly required to sit use hands to finger
handle or feel reach with hands and arms and see talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to
stand and walk. The associate must regularly lift and/or move 2035 pounds and occasionally lift and/or
move up to 80 pounds.
Qualifications
Requires complete and thorough knowledge of consumer loan collection practices.
Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent member service problem solving decisionmaking skills.
Strong practical knowledge of Credit Union products services policies procedures and
regulatory guidelines.
Requires the ability to maintain organized accurate detailed records.
Must be selfmotivated and able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
Requires intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Credit Union core processing
platform.
