Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Appian Lead / Senior Developer
Location: Hybrid (9500 Metric Blvd Austin TX)
Reports To: Project Manager or Technical Lead
Job Summary
The Sr. Appian Lead / Senior Developer is responsible for the administration configuration and optimization of enterprise Appian environments across development QA and production. The role involves delivering scalable secure solutions supporting CI/CD pipelines and ensuring platform performance and integrity. Candidates should have handson experience with Appian development and GAM Solutions (particularly Vendor Management) combined with a strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies. Final job level and rate will be based on the candidate s Appian experience ability and alignment with agency priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain enterprise Appian environments (Dev QA Prod)
Manage user roles security policies and access control across environments
Monitor system health identify bottlenecks and implement performance optimizations
Support CI/CD processes and DevOps practices for streamlined Appian deployments
Apply patches and upgrades while ensuring platform stability and security
Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to deliver Appian solutions
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and development cycles
Translate technical challenges and functional requirements into actionable insights
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
(Minimum of 1 year unless otherwise specified)
Appian platform implementation experience
Agile delivery experience in a collaborative environment
Experience working with Appian GAM Solutions (especially Vendor Management)
Strong skills in application design problemsolving and implementation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to synthesize technical information into clear action steps
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of handson Appian development in production environments
Strong background in Appian GAM Solutions and Agile project delivery
Experience leading Appian performance troubleshooting and enhancements
Appian Senior Developer Certification (preferred)
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related technical field
Equivalent work experience may be considered (minimum high school diploma required)
