The Boeing CompanyDreamlifter Operations Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) North Charleston SC is actively seeking a highly qualified candidate who possesses an advanced technical understanding of contract compliance fleet management and heavy equipment maintenance for Level 3 or Level 4. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance programming and management as well as training program oversight. Additionally they will demonstrate a strong proficiency in quality assurance and control coupled with advanced problemsolving abilities and project management expertise. Experience with Safety
Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) oversight particularly with a focus on process improvement is strongly desired. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs tailored to airline ground operations ensuring that all personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
They will regularly assess the effectiveness of training initiatives through performance metrics and feedback making datadriven adjustments to enhance learning outcomes and operational performance. The candidate will be adept at overseeing all facets of supplier performance related to heavy equipment maintenance and ground handling operations ensuring that every activity contributes to the safe and efficient loading and offloading of Boeing cargo transported on our fleet of 747400 Large Cargo Freighter (Dreamlifter) aircraft.
They will possess expertise in leading coordinating and developing baseline support concepts effectively driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reliability. This candidate will proactively identify and address inconsistencies in the daily operational rhythm of airline ground handling operations and heavy equipment line maintenance employing strategic problemsolving skills to implement effective solutions. In addition they will play a crucial role in supporting wellness inspection (audit) activities measuring and ensuring supplier compliance and operational efficacy. This includes identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance overall performance.
The candidate will also spearhead longterm initiatives for specialized support equipment effectively utilizing part obsolescence program systems to guarantee the availability and reliability of critical components. They will enhance the development of unique fleet maintenance programs that align with organizational goals and industry best practices ensuring that all maintenance activities are executed with precision and efficiency. Furthermore they will continuously evaluate quality assurance and quality control practices as well as the effectiveness of safety and compliance programs implementing strategic process improvements that drive operational excellence and significantly enhance safety outcomes across all operations.
The candidate must demonstrate a strong willingness to respond to worldwide emergent requirements showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach to addressing challenges as they arise. They should be comfortable collaborating with a diverse team in a dynamic environment that promotes flexible work schedules allowing for a balance between individual responsibilities and team objectives. While a significant portion of their time will be dedicated to ground operations compliance safety and optimization the candidate will also play a vital role in various program activities including the development of comprehensive plans schedules and specialized operational protocols that are applicable to the broader program.
Additionally they will actively support Dreamlifter operations across our five main operating locations necessitating travel of up to 20% of the time. This travel will provide opportunities to engage directly with teams onsite ensuring alignment with operational goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence across all locations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
