Job Description
Core Responsibilities
1. Manages various projects related to Equity Investment product initiatives to strengthen Vanguards product offer. Conducts deep analysis of strategic competitive client and market issues related to Vanguards Equity Investment product lineup. Gathers qualitative and quantitative data from internal and external sources to make databased recommendations about new products changes to existing products or input into strategic projects.
2. Partners with senior leaders key stakeholders and subject matter experts to evaluate existing and new Equity Investment products. Recommends additions and changes to Vanguards Equity Investment product lineup. Offers guidance and advice related to Vanguards investment philosophy product development process and internal governance framework.
3. Analyzes data of high complexity using investment and business knowledge to derive Equity Investment product development and insights. Verifies the quality accuracy and reasonableness of the data. Engages directly with clients and prospects to gain additional insights and perspective.
4. Responds to fund and market questions. Creates presentations summarizing analyses findings and recommendations for new and existing products for discussion at internal forums.
5. Conducts Equity Investment productbased competitor research analysis and monitoring to better understand our competitors product offerings to drive positioning of Vanguards products. Develops and maintains broad and deep knowledge of the asset management industry market and product and competitive dynamics. Leverages knowledge to derive and communicate productrelated insights at internal forums.
6. Provides thought leadership through identifying strategic topics and presents compelling ideas for research evaluation.
7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Eight years related work experience including five years experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- CFA preferred.
