JOB TITLE: Student Leaders Intern (Bank of America Internship)

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

SCHEDULE: MondayFriday (8:00am3:30pm)

LOCATION: Fair Oaks Pasadena CA

STATUS: Intern College Course Credit 20 hours (Approx.)

SALARY RANGE: $17.81/hr

ABOUT US:

We are seeking a Development Intern who is passionate about nonprofit work and eager to support fundraising donor engagement and event planning efforts that directly benefit our programs and the people we serve.

Summary

Since 2004Bank of Americas Student Leaders has been part of our ongoing commitment to youth employment and economic mobility by helping prepare a pipeline of communityminded young juniper and senior high school students to be successful in the workforce through leadership training and work experience.

Ideal candidates will be detailoriented organized and enthusiastic about helping a missiondriven organization grow its impact. Interns should be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.

WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Assist in donor stewardship activities such as thankyou letters gift tracking and database updates
  • Support fundraising campaigns by helping to create and distribute outreach materials
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of fundraising and donor engagement events
  • Conduct research on potential individual foundation and corporate donors
  • Help maintain and update donor and sponsor records in the CRM system
  • Assist with grant preparation and other developmentrelated writing tasks
  • Organize digital files and development materials for easy team access
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Provide general administrative support to the Development Team
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of the program and organization.

Qualifications

BACKGROUND YOULL NEED:

  • Must be currently attending a university or college while pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree to be considered for the position. This is a requirement.
  • Must have a Valid Drivers License or State ID is required.
  • Must be at least 1824 years of age is .
  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising donor relations or event planning is preferred.
  • Experience or comfort working with databases or CRM platforms (e.g. DonorPerfect Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with diverse communities and passionate about accessibility and inclusion is required.
  • Familiar with AbilityFirst and the services received at any of our sites is a plus.
  • Willingness to work with folks of diverse experiences and backgrounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Changes in the environment such as the office or outdoors.
  • Physical effort/lifting such as sedentary up to 1520 pounds at times.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

Mandated Reporting Requirements: The person holding this position is considered a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21 2017 as a condition of employment.
