Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree in related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years of airworthiness experience with in any of the following areas 14CFR Partsand/or Partsor 6 years of military aviation maintenance experience. General knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Advisory Circulars FAA forms and documents as

well as any foreign authority documentation. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.

Position Purpose:

Under minimal supervision performs Return to Service oversight and assists subordinates in the general and technical aspects of Quality Control Return to Service requirements to ensure aircraft airworthiness is maintained in a timely and efficient manne.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Prepares and schedules aircraft documentation with the QC Analysts and Inspection team. Reviews all documents and work orders prior to return to service of the aircraft and ensures aircraft returns to service in accordance with current FARs and company policy .
  2. Oversees develops and implements documents for QC utilization .
  3. Coordinates new STCs Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements and FAA Form 337 field approval of avionics and mechanical installations with Engineering Certification group and the FAA .
  4. Assists with the activity of Special Flight Permits Standard Airworthiness certificates Export certificates etc .
  5. Focal point for the Inspection team. Assures technical data for CMP Engineering Technical Services Avionics and other Service Center oriented departments .
  6. Focal point for customers after departure for questions pertaining to the work scope of the maintenance visit on compliance research and documentation .
  7. Assists customers with all activities relating to previous and present maintenance performed on aircraft .
  8. Focal point in office to notify and work with QC Management when foreign authoritys modification approval is required.
  9. Assures security of aircraft records in our possession .
  10. Attends any required. meetings as delegated by Supervisor and identifies critical path issues for Return to Service .
  11. Primary trainer for QC Analyst Assistants and QC Analyst .
  12. Performs any other tasks/duties as assigned by Supervisors .
  13. Mentors peers on FAA regulation requirements for work in process .

Additional Functions:
  1. Researches for compliance from past history and problem solves shortages on documentation .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Requires accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Must possess strong analytical ability.
  3. Detailed technical knowledge of aircraft theory inspection processes and procedure requirements and how they integrate with aircraft records.
  4. Thorough knowledge of aircraft logbooks and maintenance entries including proper aircraft work order documentation.
  5. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
  7. Experience with foreign authority documentation desirable/not required.
