Position Summary:
- GN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame under the direct supervision of an RN.
- The Graduate Nurse provides care to his/her assigned patients utilizing the nursing process while coordinating care with other health care team members.
- The Graduate Nurse provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns children adolescents adults and geriatric age groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Graduate of a School of Nursing Program.
- Minimum Experience: Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
- Certification/Licensure:State permit to practice as a Graduate Nurse.
- Current CPR required within six months of hire.
- For New Hires: Required certification must be obtained with in (1) year of employment. If currently certified must maintain current certification.
- Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
